Woman, 74 years old: A few months ago I got an aphthae under my tongue, a single one,
but very large.
Aphthae hurt a lot. I looked in Björn's book: “Not being able to say something that was important to me.”
The situation: my girlfriend, who lives in Australia and with whom I only have a connection via Skype, but it's very deep, because we both do “The Work of Byron Katie” intensively and share our insights, which leads to a lot of closeness.
It's an intimate connection. A few months ago, she told me that she had severe headaches and was now going to see specialists.

I had already told her about the 5BN, but she wasn't open to it, preferring to trust her doctors. Unfortunately, my knowledge of the new medicine is not yet deep enough.
Well, her pain continued, she found a specialist who told her she had a “leak”, an opening from the spine to the brain and the cerebrospinal fluid could enter the brain, that's where the pain was coming from and it needed to be operated on.
I was stunned and terrified for her.
That was probably the moment it hit.
I wanted to protect her from harm, but she told me that she trusted the doctor.

So I didn't say anything more against it, but it was hard for me.
It was as if I had to forbid myself - I only wanted her “best” and she didn't want to hear it.
When the surgery date came, I was through with the conflict. During sleepless nights, I realized that I couldn't know what was good for her. I came to trust her and her fate and I was able to wish her all the best from the bottom of my heart.

A few days later, I got this monster aphthae, which took 2 weeks to go away.
Looking back, I can say that I have always had aphthae in my life, sometimes lots of them.
I wanted to introduce people to the new medicine, but they didn't want to hear about it. I even lost friends because I was just too “annoying”.
