Description
A participant in my study group came to me because she had been having problems with her right shoulder for some time. Pain and tingling from her shoulder to her fingertips were causing her problems in her work as a hairdresser.
We talked for two hours about all sorts of things; she had a lot to say about her family and two broken relationships. A systemic constellation was very interesting and insightful, and just when I thought that would be enough for one session, she told me a completely different story.
Suddenly, it clicked for me and I could “see” it:
I asked her if she had to fend off anything or anyone with her hand. She looked at me with wide eyes and told me that she wanted to protect her son from a fight with an acquaintance in a bar. He was about to hit her son. The attacker was drunk, so she was able to overpower him and held him in a headlock.
She held him tightly with her right arm and would have “possibly strangled him” if the bartender hadn't intervened.
The whole thing was a very unpleasant experience for her, which she had suppressed.
After this review and a kind of resolution, she told me the next day that the pain was subsiding—her shoulder was much better.
I thought the pain would get worse at first, but that wasn't the case.
I was so happy about this example and am grateful for these great opportunities!

The conflict was experienced as a self-esteem conflict (pain) and a separation conflict (tingling).
This event wanted to be seen again and resolved. Her shoulder reminded her that there was still something there... But who listens to the language of the body!
You had the honor of being a “translator” and healer for this woman.
