A friend's 9-year-old son was suddenly diagnosed with an allergy after his eyes turned red and itchy. My friend had an allergy test done and told me that he was suddenly allergic to grass and hazelnuts. That was in May 2022.

At that time, two guinea pigs lived in the boy's room and my friend was totally desperate because he also reacted to them because of the grass in the cages. I told her to ask him who he misses so much. He said his hamster passed away few months ago.

The symptoms did not appear immediately after the hamster's death, but when the boy and his mother walked past the hamster's grave site weeks after the death. He stopped there, started crying terribly and said he missed him so terribly.

It is unclear whether it was a one-time conflict-solved phase, or whether a line of hazelnut and grass actually emerged there. At this point the hazelnut blossomed. Various grasses were always in the hamster's cage.

I told her that (in case of an actual allergy) she would have to get a new hamster whether she likes it or now. She did it the very next day. She told me that her son reacted really badly with his eyes again and then everything disappeared.
