I was born in 1963 in the town of Brandenburg an der Havel. At the age of 18 I was drafted into the military (National People's Army of the GDR). During the 6-month non-commissioned officer training, we also had to go through an exercise involving nuclear protection. According to the information at the time, we were dusted with copper 64 and, after a forced march in full protective clothing, driven across the terrain. After the exercise, we went under the decontamination shower.
As I didn't find my previously announced shrink-wrapped underwear pack, I cursed out loud. The squad leader was probably already passing judgment!
The platoon marched off - and I had to run around the marching group for at least 3 laps while putting on my gas mask - in the jargon of the People's Army at the time, this was called a “sputnik”.
I fell after 2 laps. So much sweat and saliva had collected in my gas mask that I had to swallow this mixture until I couldn't do it any more. I experienced a choking death in those moments!!!
All I heard was the instructor coming ... then he hit me on the back of the head with the butt of his Kalashnikov. I felt like I was in the middle of everything that was happening: Isolated, highly dramatic and acute and left alone.

Carsten experienced the situation as a territorial anxiety conflict (bronchial mucosa).
I asked: Since this event, Carsten has suffered from a chronic dry cough, especially during times of stress, e.g. at work. When he spends his days quietly in nature, it gets steadily better.
Conflict recurrence (recurrence):
He says that he tried scuba diving in Greece a few years ago. During the dive, he suddenly panics, immediately ascends and clings to a rock. Over the next few days, he has bad coughing fits.
As therapy, I suggest going back to this situation in his mind. He should tell the group leader how he felt at the time and that he has not forgotten it to this day. Then he should forgive him completely. And bless the whole situation.
